Nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Southwest, two friends have turned their passion for mixology and drinks into a thriving cocktail events company. With over 20 years of experience between them, they have an expansive knowledge in all things drinks, a keen eye for detail and a professional manner. This dynamic duo is ready to shake up your next celebration.
James dyer
James’s passion is in creating the perfect event, he is the logistical brains behind the operation and manages our team of professional and experienced staff. James has worked in an exclusive members club and managed high end bars and restaurants, bringing his personable approach and excellent organisational skills to all our events. He’s extremely practical and finds a solution to challenges that can arise from the unique nature of event mixology. James will ensure you and your guests have the most memorable experiences at your event.
Theo maxfield
Theo is passionate about all things cocktails and drinks, a journey which started over 10 years ago while running a small country pub, where he discovered mixology, and a passion for hospitality. From there he has taken his love for cocktails with him, throughout his career of working as Head of Bar at The Newt in Somerset and manager at Osip, Michelin starred restaurant, honing his knowledge and skills in bartending whilst also studying in wine. Theo takes great pride in his drinks and goes to great lengths to ensure each and every drink poured is perfect.
The team
Our team comprises of a small group of experienced and professional individuals, who are well versed in the art of mixology - all of whom have worked with us for a number of years. Depending on the style of your event, the team will comprise of expert cocktail bartenders, bar assistants who help keep the bar stocked & running smoothly and floor staff who serve drinks and clear empty glasses, in a friendly and efficient manner, making your bar experience seamless. Theo & James will always be onsite running the bar on the day to ensure the cocktails and service is to the highest of standards.
Premium ingredients
We supply all the ingredients for the cocktails on the bar, so you don’t have to worry about it. We only use premium and quality spirits & liqueurs in our cocktails, we meticulously prepare all our own syrups & cordials in house, and only ever use freshly squeezed citrus in our drinks. We look at what’s in season and source from local produces where ever possible. We take great pride in the cocktails we serve and believe that each one is only as good as each component. We also work with small, local wine merchants and breweries, if you would like us to source the wine or beer for your event also.

We avoid using single use plastics behind our bars, opting for biodegradable disposable napkins and straws, and using natural, ecological cleaning products. We avoid single use plastics and opt for products in recyclable glass bottles or aluminium cans.
We are always on the look out for sustainable, local and ethical producers & suppliers when sourcing spirits, wines and beers for our events. We look to carbon neutral distilleries, organic breweries and biodynamic wineries when it comes to stocking our back bars.

We strive to only use fresh fruit from organic origins for use in our cocktails. We prepare as much as possible prior to the event, including our own homemade syrups and purees, avoiding refined sugar where possible and look for natural alternatives. There are never any nasty additives, colourings or flavourings in our drinks.

As a team we work closely with local and artisan producers who provide top quality products, from cider to gin. We love expanding our repertoire of flavours from all over the world and work with you to create a truly unique menu for your event. However, It is your event, so we are also happy to serve your favourite tipple upon request.

We believe that partying shouldn’t cost the Earth, and are always thinking about ways we can improve the sustainability of our events bars. When creating our cocktail menus and planning our events we take responsibility for minimising waste and using sustainable methods so that we can keep on shaking cocktails into the future, without the harmful impact on our environment.
